The Concert 4 Know 1

I’ve decided to put on a concert. However, no one will be present to enjoy it.

Call it a personal challenge. I’ll play guitars and bass along with audio or video streams from the bands actually performing the songs on my setlist.

I’m calling it The Concert 4 Know 1. It’ll be performed in my living room.

The point of this exercise is not to put on a show, per se. What I’m really doing is motivating myself to practice. Learning songs is the best way keep my engine revving. I get bored very easily.

More than a couple of the tunes have vocals. Some of them I’ll try to sing myself, some I won’t. On at least one tune, I won’t do more than a background vocal. The priority is getting my hands together. Singing comes later.

My first “show” is a little heavier. Lots of low end and darker themes. The next show will focus more on singer/songwriters.

I haven’t nailed down a date for the full performance, but sometime in December feels right. I’ll probably record and post bits and pieces. Copyright violations are very easy to get. I have to be careful.

I could go on, but why? I have work to do! Here’s the setlist in playlist form. There might be a minor change or two, but this feels like it’s gonna be a really good time!
