The Band: Puscifer
The Venue: The Chicago Theater
The Date: July 2, 2022
Of all the Maynard James Keenan projects, I’ve seen Puscifer the least often. Tool is great. A Perfect Circle is great. But I don’t spend enough time on Puscifer.
I didn’t even know the band was touring in 2022. In a stroke of luck, I was able to grab a last-minute ticket to the Chicago Theater in order to get my first live experience with this band.

I wound up in the second balcony, but I was right up front, enabling me to see everything. Maynard had a strict “no photography” rule in place, so I got no images. But I did get some fantastic music!

A good chunk of the set came from Puscifer’s album Existential Reckoning. I was fixated from the first note. Puscifer puts on a terrific show!
Here is a studio recording of the live set.

New to me. Pleasant music, worthy sentiments. Not sure how long they would hold my interest, though.

Of the three Maynard project, I listen to this band the least. But they’re a nice diversion here and there.
