My musical life is one lived at random.

There are days when I’m reviewing albums or singles, which takes me from one genre to the next. There are days when I’m fixated on a single artist. There are days when I might center my listening around a theme. And there are days when I don’t know what I’m going to listen to until I pull it down from my music shelves.

Those days are the most fun.

A couple of years or so back, I started creating playlists around these thought processes. I’ve already posted a couple of them on this website. But I thought I’d go back to the very beginning and share what was on my mind during that particular time.

I realize that more than a few people don’t use Spotify. My movement toward it was quite slow. But it comes in handy for certain things, like research. And in the interest of seeing to it the artist is able to turn a buck, I also go out and buy what I stream. It’s the best of both worlds.

For those of you who don’t use the platform, I sincerely apologize. I haven’t had time to copy the songs over to Tidal or Apple Music. That’s for down the road.

So, here is the very first playlist I ever assembled. I probably made close to 100 of them. I’ll let them leak out from time to time.
