Concert Captures: And So I Watch You From Afar

I went to a lot of concerts in 2024. I took a lot of pictures at those gigs. I’ve sent a few out into the world via social media, but I still have TONS of them left over. What to do?

Well, share them with you, of course!

And thus begins the series I’ll call Concert Captures.

I’ve been hearing the phrase “photo dump” online a lot lately. I don’t like that phrase. To me, it sounds like someone is just offloading pictures that are meaningless to them. That’s not the way I feel at all. I enjoy these shots. Had I been thinking (or had I not been so lazy) after the gigs, I would’ve shared the photos immediately. I’m hoping to get into that habit in the future.

So, here are some photos from gigs I attended last year, in no particular order.

Enjoy!

And So I Watch You From Afar

at the House of Blues, Chicago Illinois, July 25, 2024

All of these photos were taken on my iPhone from right up against the stage. Alas, one of the downsides of post-rock concerts is that the bands like to play in low light. So, I did what I could. Some gigs are easier than others. Anyway …
