A CirdecSongs Chat with Joe Nardulli (Ad Astra)

One of the first bands I saw at Progtoberfest in 2018 was a New York-based band called Ad Astra. Their drummer couldn’t make the gig, so the trio before us played to a backing drum track. Even with the limits before them, the band put on a solid set.

Guitarist JOE NARDULLI struck me as solid and serious (in an enjoyable way) about his craft. The rest of the band was equally dug in. I can only imagine that they’ve gotten even better five years on.

Progstock 2023 is upon us, and Ad Astra will be playing the opening notes to get things underway. (They’ll have their dummer this time, by the way.) I took a little time to talk to Joe about what’s to come as well as what brought us to this moment to begin with.

I’d like to thank Joe Nardulli for taking the time to chat with CirdecSongs.
