Welcome to CirdecSongs, a blog dedicated to all things music. I hope this is the first of many visits.
If there’s one thing in the world I love to talk about, it’s music. There will always be room for open discussion on the subject. I hope to hear from every one of you at some point, and that we have a lot of fun talking about our favorite bands, albums, and songs.
This blog is designed to be an oasis. It will NOT be a den of political or religious discussion. There are plenty of other places for that kind of talk. If that’s what you seek, I suggest you look elsewhere. If you’re reading this blog, chances are you’re looking for a break from all that other talk. I am here to accommodate.
I originally designed this forum to exist within the confines of Facebook, and to serve as a companion to my forthcoming book I Can’t Be the Only One Hearing This. But keeping the discussion within social media potentially alienates a vast audience that would love to talk music, but hate to spend time on Facebook. I should know: I am rapidly becoming one of those people. I may refer to my Facebook page now and then, but you will by no means be required to visit it in order to get the most out of this page.
I have a journalism background, but I may play fast and loose with Associated Press style in my writings here. My perfectionist nature will catch the majority of the errors I make, but I will not be perfect. I hope you can forgive the very occasional slip-up, and not judge me solely by any mistake I’ve made.
Any and all copyrighted material, such as music clips fromYouTube or excerpts from books and magazine are and will remain the property of the artist or author. I will not benefit personally from their efforts. I will always give credit where credit is due.
I must admit, I had no idea blogging was such a Thing. But I have since learned otherwise, and now I hope to make the most of the opportunities it presents. So without further ado, let’s begin. And please, tell your friends and fellow musicians I’m here.

Nice review. I’m only familiar with the Miles box sets for In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew, which is probably as much as I can handle in any one sitting. Nevertheless, look forward to seeing your views on these in due course.

You know, I listen to a lot of music that way. It’s the ultimate test. Eyes closed, headphones on, undistracted … that’s how the music reveals itself to me.

Couple people I follow. Jim – Music Enthusiast and Axl -cathgroove, both did takes on Coryell. You’ll find catchgrooves reviews on LC in comments about a recent John Scofield concert he attended. I tune into both these guys regular. Check them out. They will respond. I will be dropping by your stuff soon. CB. Any time I see some one chilling to music like in your head-shot I think of Perry Como, the worlds most laid back guy.
